UT's Zakai Zeigler has torn ACL, done for the season

Really unfortunate. Always seemed like a decent kid and a good ball player. Hopefully, he has a full recovery.

There were a lot of injuries this year. We are down 2 starters too now that Dexter Dennis is injured. It’s a damn shame. I wish Ziegler a full recovery.

We just got JJJ back and were righting the ship from our slump. Zakai is up for Defensive Player of the Year (nationally) so this is a big blow for us.
Zakai is a leader and the heart and soul of the team. It's the basketball equivalent of losing Hendon Hooker in the 2nd to last game of the season. Gawd, I can't believe this has happened twice in a row.

I just hope that we have the equivalent of Joe Milton's Orange Bowl performance to make up for Zakai being out. But it's crazy that we've lost star players at the end of the year in both major sports.
