If they pull this off, it will be pretty incredible. The Oats and Wade rivalry shall continue.

"According to a source, Ole Miss is not currently pursuing Chris Beard nor Will Wade as candidates. According to that same source, the name that has emerged is FAU's Dusty May."

It would be really strange to me if Sankey black-balled Freeze for years and then doesn't do the same to Will Wade, especially considering he hasn't been out of the league for an entire year yet, that he won't have a decision from the NCAA until June, and that he was actually directly implicated in LSU's NOA (multiple times), whereas Freeze was only cited for failure to monitor his assistants.
I just don't see how any program from a major conference would touch Wade with so much uncertainty still as to his sanctions from the NCAA. Wade even alluded to this himself in a recent interview, said he doesn't expect his next stop to be at a major program and that's life sometimes

He won't be allowed to return to the SEC any more than Jeremy Pruitt. They are poison until the NCAA somehow finds the time to lay down their sanctions.
