How shitty of a society have we become that fans have become so cavalier in regards to someone’s murder. I can honestly say if it were my university I wouldn’t want the kid representing my alma mater.
I go back to the Tyrann Matthieu suspension. I hated it but thought it was best for the team and the kid. He would tell you the same thing.

Suspension for the rest of the year. Oats suspended 5 games. A public apology from the Bama AD for greatly mishandling of the situation.
Dude was able to avoid legal liability by likely turning states evidence. But the university is not obligated to reward him for his actions. He is a distraction to the university and his conduct (even well after the fact) is detrimental to the institution.

He has to be removed from the team and Oats has to be fired.
If this doesn't happen, the state of Alabama has to step in and pull money from the university.

You seem somewhat level headed unlike several of your brethren. Handing a firearm to someone who then murders someone is a big problem.

Stop acting and thinking inhumanely would be a good start

It isn’t if you’re a star athlete at Alabama

Not really sure, but I am glad to see that people are finally getting upset and speaking up about the black on black crimes that plague this nation.

For starters, I’d like the police and DA to explain:
1. The full context of the texts exchanged and phone calls made that evening.
2. The full timeline of events for Davis, Miles, Bradley, Miles’s gf, and Miller. Both before, during, and after the shooting. For example, who did Miles and Davis flee the scene with since they didn’t have a car? Where did they go? Where did Bradley go? Where did Miles go? Were they alone? Were they communicating with each other?
3. Release the available video/audio recordings including dash cam video. This video has to be shared with the defense. It isn’t going to change between now and trial.
4. Identify when Miller/Bradley reached out to LEO or visa versa.
5. Explain the reasoning for not charging Miller or Bradley or potentially Miles’ gf.
Bama’s AD should explain:
1. When they first learned of the situation? Did they speak with any of the involved players prior to LEO? After?
2. What they knew about Miller and Bradley’s involvement and when?
3. What investigative steps did they take before making decisions to dismiss Miles and retain Miller and Bradley without punishment
4. Who all was involved in that decision and who was the ultimate decision maker
5. What steps have they taken to provide support for the Harris family, including the motherless child

The delusional world some of you people live in.
By the way, this:
They already did. You just don't like the answer.

If the go fund me is any indication, not much. And if you include the comments made by Jamea’s stepfather last week still not much, if at all.

quote:Because it failed to include an explanation despite occurring on the heels of sworn testimony from a police detective that Miller, after receiving a text from Miles asking for his gun because a ninja was fakin, delivered the gun, where it was exchanged in the back seat of his car with a discussion of a bullet being in the chamber, and Miller’s car, together with Bradley’s, was blocking the path of the Jeep.
you just didn't like the answer.
So a statement of “I can’t answer that right now. There is nothing we could charge him with” is not an explanation.

Such a strange quote

quote:It may be a complete sentence, but it is almost as far from a complete answer as one can get.
...is a complete answer.
A complete answer could be:
We performed a forensic review of Miller’s phone, which he voluntarily turned over, and we were unable to determine with any reasonable degree of certainty, that he read the text sent by Miles. Additionally, video evidence confirms he never left his vehicle and, it is not clear that his car was intentionally positioned to block the Jeep. As soon as the shooting began, Mr. Miller fled the scene alone, had no additional communication with the two Defendants that we were able to ascertain, and alerted authorities of the shooting almost immediately. For these reasons and because Mr. Miller has been fully cooperative and provided testimony vital to the prosecution of the two defendants, our office determined that criminal charges against Mr. Miller were not appropriate at this time.
Something like that would be great and would be explanatory rather than just conclusory.
