Say something nice about Alabama

With recent events and a hog/tide match-up looming, I figured it would be a good time to come out and say something nice about the State or University.
I drive through Alabama on my way to Florida. It's a pretty state from what I have seen. Despite what I hear about Mobile, driving through downtown, the tunnel, and the bridge by the war ship is a pretty cool experience.

It is cool, but a terrible bottleneck for traffic.

They have dedicated student athletes who don’t check their phone text messages too often.

Factoid: Mark Herndon was never a "full" member of the group. Just a contract musician on the drums. The label made the cousins include him in promotional materials, because they liked the idea of a four-man act. The cousins got rich. Herndon got paid a day rate.
EDIT = Damn, I just say that Jeff Cook died last November of complications from Parkinson's disease.

Their best basketball player spends his off-time serving as a DD for other classmates since he's still underage to drink.

I've camped on the banks of the Buffalo River a bunch of times. That's kind of like a beach. Give me a week, and I'd rather spend it over there.

Other than Bammer loving Yankee transplants who've always been front runner NFL type fans, I love it...
Local AU and UA fans are pretty chill...

They actually have some good fans. It's just that none of them post here.

I have a cousin that graduated from there and works for NASA.
No, he's not also a Kentucky Basketball fan.
