Actually before the additions Auburn played all 3 yearly. Auburn and UF have been playing since early 1900's. Expansion screwed up a damn good rivalry.

Yeah I got to thinking after I posted that that you already play a tough schedule. It just looked worse looking at it compared to all the others.

Well there certainly was a lot of bourbon consumed at those sportin events but never an "official" trophy.

Good buzz and a full belly was its own reward. this is the part of the SEC that is disappearing and it makes me sad.

I really can see a hatred between LSU and Oklahoma brewing after about 5 years or so if this happens.

I would hate them for replacing real SEC opponents. I'm not ready to join the Big 12.

Hell, people are saying Auburn's projected permanents suck, but I would welcome permanent games against 3 Big 6. Give me Bama/Auburn/UF any day.

I got shite on by some posters on the Rebal Rant for saying everything you used to love about college football is being sacrificed at the altar of greed. But it's true.

Arkansas isn't good enough to warrant that treatment. At least with Oklahoma there will be competitive games

and it would still be favorable from Alabama's perspective

Our all time record and your history of needing to injure our QBs to win even a single game against us has determined this to be a lie

Who gives a frick? The pussies ran away from us to play A&M after we obliterated them. That kind of cowardice makes everything they do irrelevant just like their presence historically on the national stage.

It's the same reason A&M will never win another championship.

Yeah, my nephew goes to OU. Small, boring town. Not a fun football road trip. My nephew got a full scholarship there or I suspect he probably would have gone to school somewhere else.

You can thank Sankey and ESPN for ruining a good thing.

Surely you aren't trying to describe Tennessee as "UT" in a world where Texas is a SEC member.

IDGAF if both programs burn to the ground tomorrow, but even I know that's borderline retarded.

The games have nothing to do with why other programs don’t want anything to do with you. Your team sucks.

It’s your greed and arrogance that nobody wants to deal with. You’ve destroyed 2 conferences already because you want more than anyone else without deserving it.

Damn I hate it for the SEC that this mistake is being made.

I want LSU to have Bama, Auburn and A&M or Florida.

Just doesn't seem right to not play Bama and Auburn every year. I could deal with playing OU as long as we keep Bama and Auburn

Kramer was smarter
Slive was smarter

Sankey is the bland bean counter of modern America. Kramer and Slive knew it was less about the money and more about the environment. Sankey (and ESPN) are all about the short term money even if it kills the product in the future.

If realignment really is about contraction, will tLandmass or the Cocks be happy when the SEC shrinks? Will SEC sports lose value when they shrink from 16 to 8?

Dammit. If they don’t give us Texas or LSU back on Thanksgiving, I’m going to be pissed.

Still love you Mizzou but I’d prefer more of an October relationship with you.
