Yeah... so if I say we have a 1% chance of winning the title, which category would that put me in?

There is next to no way we win a title with this team next year. The next? Very possibly. You can call that a negative take. I call it realistic

It's fine to be realistic, the fact is that what we have become accustomed to over the past ten years has been very unrealistic. As long as you don't take a burn it all down attitude like some here appear to have, I think it's fine. I've never taken our games for granted, even under Saban. We're capable of losing an SEC game at any time, a few turnovers and fluke plays, and there you go. There's no need to be unrelentingly critical of our team, and totally pessimistic, though. Let the coaches and players have a chance to show what they're capable of before condemning them. It's not healthy for the program to be so negative. I have always been a somewhat pessimistic person to some degree, expect the worst, and you're never disappointed. But as I became older, I've realized that it's not very productive to be negative around people. People are seldom affected in a positive way by it, and they are naturally more attracted to, and positively influenced by optimism. I'm far from a sunshine pumper, but sometimes it's best to not dwell on things you have no control over.

This seems absurd to me given how much talent we have on our team, and considering that Saban has gotten us to the playoffs 7 out of 9 seasons. The two seasons we didn't make it, we came within single digit points of making the SECCG with a chance to go to the playoffs.

Do you think we lack the talent? Do you really believe that our two new coordinators are worse than BoB and Golding? Do you think that Saban has just given up and is going through the motions? After pulling in yet another historic recruiting haul? Who do you see on our schedule next season that we won't be favored against?
