At least you’re aware of how bad your takes are.

He was pretty good at Auburn for a few years with less talent. Wouldn't be a bad hire imo

The only time he's been good in the last decade or so is when Will Muschamp left him first round draft picks in the front 7.

Rodney Garner had more to do with that than Steele.

You know, I sure was hoping Saban would take Bryan Harsin into his coaching rehab program as OC. It would have been delightful just for the melts on both sides of the aisle !

All I can gather is that Steele was a horrible hire at AU, because AU is a much better program vs UA and they expect less.
What else could be the reasoning??
Anyone?

I think he's a pretty good coach.

gumps laughed at au for hiring Steele though and they are supposed to be the best program in college football.

Turns out there’s some pretty damn good front seven talent at Alabama too. And they’re young.
But this once again seems like a name repeated enough by fans spitballing on who the hire might be and then some media outlets end up running with it.

I think overall Steele is a good DC.

Was hoping Steele would pass so they would go after Bo Pelini.
