What's the story? Did Ole Miss try to buy a MSU player off their roster and failed?
That would be the only reason to respond to a 247 writer right?

They made an offer to Tulu Griffin and he ended up staying at State. I would have to assume that's what it is about.
Even then it's odd for Lane to respond there.
Or maybe Lane is making a joke about how many Ole Miss players have entered the portal. Like a "it must be nice" thing. :shrug:

Steve reported Lane's staff for tampering back in spring 2020. Nothing ever came of it but the report was made.

It's like they are BOTH saying on the 19th, after the portal closed on the 18th, they are shopping your Roster and telling you they are.

The 1/18 deadline is the cut off to enter the portal. Once players are the portal they have until the chosen school's enrollment deadline to decide where they are enrolling. That's what the fishing tweets are about. OM will have more announced soon.

- Not legal to recruit off a roster unless they are in the portal.
