No one in the Big 12 will be a contender. Patterson’s players won’t carry career .500 coach Sonny Dykes forever.

He’s not going there to contend. He’s going there to run an offense that puts up big numbers so he get a head job or an OC job at one of the handful of places that can legitimately contend.
