I don't follow the nfl. I'm definitely not the expert.

But the 1st round draft picks are either busts or not a good fit for personnel.

Statistically, they don't score points.
And schematically, the Falcons are not a passing offense. They are a running team.
It doesn't make sense to draft two 1st rounders to help the passing game when the offense doesn't pass the ball.

They'd throw more if they trusted Mariota to let it rip, I think. He is a woeful downfield passer. They ran the hell out of the ball because shortening up games and reducing possessions gave them the best chance to win.

That was my thought also not following the NFL. How many teams scheme to use the TE in a way to benefit from Bowers? Monken retooled our offense to utilize Bowers and Big O (hallelujah) but I don’t see an NFL team doing something like this just because of a new rookie TE.
