This year is more injury based as opposed to previous years just being young and needing more time.

Not sure this team without NSJ will just click and turn it on like the prior teams.

I mean hell if NSJ doesn't return we're NIT bound IMO.

Can't always count on getting out of a cold start each year.

This looks like a team that will struggle getting into the tournament.

Yeah this team doesn't look or feel like the previous 2 that got going.

This team will struggle getting some wins this month. Maybe with Smith back in February they can get on a few winning streaks. But it is likely they will need a few more wins in the SEC tournament to leave no doubt.

Yep, we may not win a game on the road.

They need Smith desperatley at this point to crate some offense.

He could also play a good hi-low game with Graham and we could get some much needed perimeter to paint offense that way.

Thats really the only answer I see at this point.

Either that or we turn into a no-defense type of team with Pinion, Smith, and Graham all on the floor to just jack up shots, but that won't happen.

Try to remember how terrible we looked early last year. Recency bias

They look better than those teams IMO. We looked pretty damn bad both years and we have played much better teams the first 4 this year. I've learned to not pay much attention to January under Muss. He will get it figured out and we will make the tourney.

We actually had a few guys capable of making outside shots last year. We are so bad from outside right now we won't even shoot wide open shots.

We have nobody it seems that can drop a dagger at any moment. Last year we had Stanley and JD who would be some dawgs and knock down a critical shot.

True

We are better in other ways than last year. Defensively this team has a higher ceiling with all the length. Plus I still think we'll get NSJ back.
