Kirby made Sabah, very apparent at this point imho

A1abana hasn’t had a defense since Kirby left and they have 1 legitimate championship without him!

FACT: Coach Sabah’s career would be very similar to Ed Orgeron’s if not for Kirby Smart

Saban is still the GOAT, but Kirby seems to be the only son that could give his father a run for his money.

Is this trying to suggest the 2 teams they inherited were equal?

Orgeron is a sub .500 coach without Burrow

Saban was a national champion coach before going to Bama. Kirby was taking his very first head coaching job at Georgia.

That wasn’t mentioned on Twitter, either.

The team Saban inherited had just got 6-7, winning only 2 SEC games. Recruiting classes not even in the top10 leading up to the hire. Coming off years of sanctions.

Georgia went 10-3 the year before Kirby was hired, and they were constantly pulling in top10 classes under Richt. #6 was the class Kirby was given, Georgia was also #6 in 2015 class, #8 in 2014.

Thread is just Georgia fans trying to stretch the truth to make Kirby look better than he really is.

What does that have to do with the image?

Oh well, another day of Georgia trying to compare itself to Alabama I guess.

Alabama will claim blue blood dynasties until it makes Saban look bad.

Then, they weren't very good.

I will say this, while Sabah relied on Kirby for success, Kirby relies on opponent injuries for success!

Proof:

2018 LSU = Healthy = 20 point loss

2019 LSU = Healthy = 27 point loss

2021 A1abana = Healthy = 17 point loss

2021 A1abana (pt2) = Injured = 15 point smackdown

2022 LSU = Injured = Small/flukey win

2022 Ohio State = Healthy = Losing by 14

2022 Ohio State = Injured = 1 point lucky win

OOF!

I always like how lists like this don't take Into account that Saban was at his 5th stop then with over a decade of college and NFL head coach experience while this 7 years happens to be kirbys first ever as a head coach. Kinda scary how high the ceiling might be.

All this shows me is that Smart has done less with more. Saban inherited a dumpster fire while Smart walked into a pretty good situation.

Not much, like your post about teams being unequal when the respective coaches showed up.

I was just pointing out that Kirby offset his lack of coaching experience with some decent players to start with and Saban offset his lack of players with his experience as a championship-winning coach.

You can’t ignore the experience (or lack thereof) of both men heading into their respective new jobs if you want to call into question other things like rosters.

20 points is small or beating lsu was a small accomplishment?
