Petrino with top 5 talent will field some of the best offenses any of us have ever seen

Not joking. As an Arkansas fan, I hate it. As a football fan, can’t wait to see it.
Petrino can run traditional power spread pro-style or a QB running+vertical passing offense. He can tailor the offense to his best players. Either version is extremely effective.
While his Lamar Jackson offenses were great, I think his pro-style offenses are even better and that’s probably what we’re going to see more of At A&M.
His power spread gives you both a spread passing attack plus under center power run that you can work play action off of. Remember Arkansas’ 2010 offense with Knile Davis gashing defenses with the power run and Ryan Mallet slinging the ball all over the field with Bobby calling the “right” play 90%+ of the time? Imagine that but with even more and deeper talent throughout the offense.

They won’t have enough players to field a team. 7 & forfeit

Besides Heupel, who would you say is a better offensive coach in the SEC?

There’s not a single HC or OC in the country that you could plug in at gay&m that would worry me. Jimbo’s poverty program is too far gone at this point

Every single program even Vandy

The last time Petrino had a decent offense he had a NFL MVP playing QB

Petrino has had 3 good offenses in his last 9 seasons of football. 4 of those seasons were mediocre offenses and 2 were flat out bad.
2 of those good years were with Lamar Jackson as well. And Lamar Jackson is not walking through A&M any time soon. As soon as Lamar Jackson left him at Louisville he went 2-8 and got fired with one of the worst offenses in the entire country that year.
This is Jimbo's forced hire he didnt want to do in the first place, struck out on everyone else he may have wanted and circled back to Petrino. This is his Coach O Bo Pelini moment. Petrino is a hot head now in his 60s after his career spiraled downwards recently and Jimbo doesnt want to give up control of his offense. It's a match made for disaster.

It’s a bad comparison when Ed O didn’t even interview Pelini

Will have to see if his ego can jive with that top 5 talent. Petrino's wheelhouse is taking mostly average talent and getting them to execute at an elite level IMO.

BMFP was brought in for a sit down to talk of the OC job. He didn’t get what he wanted. Complete control of the offense. So he went to UNLV. A shocked Jimbo had two weeks to think about losing his job after next year. So he called Bobby up and said the O is yours.
BMFP made ONE thing clear. If Jimbo fricks with the O in any way Bobby is out of there immediately.
And he will be paid in full.
Don’t believe me? Why else would he leave a school after two weeks?

Can only hope Jimbo's ego is too big to give him full control

Lol @ Kiffin and Denbrock
You might be able to make an argument Freeze should be considered on the same level as BP, but better? I don’t think so, Tim.

If Bobby Petrino is so great, why were his only options UNLV and A&M?

Who turned Lamar Jackson into a pro passer?
In his final 2 high school seasons, Jackson’s completion % was 43% and 54%. In his freshman year at Louisville, his comp % was 55% on 247 passes with 12 TD and 8 interception. Bobby elevated him to nearly 60% passing and a 3:1 TD/Int ratio. He was raw as frick out of high school and Bobby turned him into a real passing threat.

Congrats on your super bowl and increasing your ceiling from 5 wins to 7. Enjoy mediocrity f@ggot, we have national championships to compete for rather than worrying about runts like yourself.

If swamp rat is so great why did they get rejected by several HC’s and Jimbo three different times.
