He’s frustrating to watch.
Why is our “best” db getting picked on?

Ringos become a liability

Yea he SEEMS to play with limited effort. Idk weird but he has alot of work to do. Entire secondary looks like dog water. Glad this is happening here and not in the playoffs

They were definitely going after him. All of his plays are there, he’s just got to get his head around. He seems to be a step or two slow too.

It's been said that Kelee is a safety playing out of position.
Either way, he isn't terrible, but he isn't as good as his highlight reel would indicate. He has his weaknesses and teams feel as though that's the weakness on the D to exploit.

He has his strengths and weaknesses. Trust the staff.

Not questioning the staff, they feel like he is the best for that position.. I’m questioning Kelee’s speed and ball awareness. I feel like he’s taken a step back this year, maybe he’s dinged up?

I’m not as concerned about him. To me he is just playing a little safe because we are never in danger of losing. We are coached not to let the guy get behind you, so he gives up catches in front of him, not great, but not the worst outcome.

He hasn’t taken a step back as much as he was basically on the number 2 receiver last year a lot and this year he’s covering the best guy more. It shows. Also of high importance, last year we affected the qb more

Ringo’s problems aside, our pass rush was non existent in the 2nd half.

Been this way for weeks. He's looked very mediocre and opposing OC's seem to agree.

I saw him save at least two TDs tonight. The last one he was getting smoked the entire drive until the TD pass he broke up where the lsu receiver got injured

Kirby has a heart.
The kid is playing with a heavy heart every game. Allow his mom to rejoice

We kept it in front of us once we got the lead. Understand football better.

Lack of a pass rush hurts the entire defensive backfield. But, to your point, yes, Ringo has been beaten like a rented mule all season long. Last night he played as bad as I've ever seen.

When Ringo just mans up and covers the DB he is legit. Alot of the plays he gets beat it looks like there was a breakdown between him and starks

Ringo plays a lot of one on one. The breakdown is with him. And, he tackles poorly. How is he going to be a good safety if he can't tackle well?

Had a very bad day. No two ways around it. We have a month to work it out and clean it up.

For as much as this board thinks Kirby is always playing 4-D chess while everyone else is playing checkers…
Do you not think it’s possible that with a 4TD lead at half, Kirby saw an opportunity once Nussmeier came in? How many stunts/blitzes/extra rushers did you see in the second half? As someone pointed out in the game thread, our secondary goes as our pass rush goes. Do you think the LSU line that looked like dog water in the first half magically transformed into the early 90’s Cowboys in the second half?
