Trent Seaborn, Thompson QB class of 2027 threw for 5 touchdowns against some of the best athletes in the state. Oh yeah and I hear he’s Tua’s cousin.

Is this true?

No, it's not.

He did move to Alabama from Colorado though.

I dunno about the cousin stuff, but there is definitely a connection.
He's mentioned in a 2015 article about Marcus Mariota (which then discusses Tua, which then discusses a very little Seaborn)
quote:
Tua Tagovailoa will be a junior next season. As a sophomore he threw for 2,583 yards, with 33 touchdowns and just three interceptions. He rushed for an additional 576 yards and eight TDs. He is a 6'1", 190-pound dual-threat lefty, with a pure and compact throwing motion. The ball hisses as it comes off his hand. He already has a dozen scholarship offers: USC, UCLA, Nebraska....
When he was in fourth grade, Tagovailoa attended a camp with Mariota, who took him under his wing. But the elder QB didn't just offer instruction. If the kid needed a ride, or a burger at McDonald's, Mariota offered.
Now that Tagovailoa is a star, he's modeling the humility and selflessness that Mariota showed him. The high schoolers long gone, Tagovailoa stayed behind, playing catch with Trent Seaborn, a wiry first-grader with a whip of an arm. Tua was, in that moment, embodying the Hawaiian concept of 'ohana, which emphasizes that extended families, and teammates, are bound together. "That's just our culture," Mariota explained an hour after being drafted. "Growing up here, you learn that whatever success you have is through everybody. Together, we are one." As he spoke, he made an inclusive hoop with his arms.
quote:
Trent was born and raised in Hawaii, and moved to Colorado when he was 9 years old. Trent first learned to play quarterback with Vinny Passas, who also helped shaped Marcus Mariota, Timmy Chang, Tua Tagovailoa, and many other Hawaii quarterbacks as youths.
Trent also spent a long time developing and working with Galu Tagovailoa, Tua’s and Taulia’s father.

How does Hawaii produce so many qbs? Could you imagine if they could keep them home? Hawaii would be like another BYU/Cincinnati level program if they could keep their talent in state

Auburn, truce for a minute. WTF are we, really going to do with this REC school Thompson? They are using like a IMG academy. What there last 3 charger driving QBs were from Hawaii and Colorado

Yep, 4 state championships in a row and no reason to believe they won’t win the next 4. Awesome high school campus and there stadium is comparable to some FBS programs.

The better question should be, is how all these Hawaii QB’s end up at Thompson Alabama?

(a) Only 2 of them have - and the 1st was the brother of the QB who went to Alabama. The majority of "these Hawaii QBs" played in Hawaii. Marcus Mariota, Tua Tagovailoa, Dillon Gabriel, McKenzie Milton, Jordan Ta'amu, Jayden de Laura.
(b) Thompson isn't a city. Thompson is a high school in Alabaster, Alabama.

You can’t play an 8th grader in GA public school ball. Well, you can, but they lose a year of eligibility in high school.

I know exactly where it’s at. I am familiar with Thompson High School along with the other 7A high school around the Birmingham area.

Alabama they don’t care about education. They only care about sports. This isn’t the 1st great athlete to play as an 8th grader in Alabama and win state titles.
