I mean much better resources at UF, Texas, and A&M. Which all three will be looking for new coaches in the next year..........

Grab the money while you have a chance. You never know what's going to happen in the future.

Auburn and Florida superior to aTm and Ole Miss. Don’t know about a SEC Texas.

$96m brand new FOF is top 5 in the nation and a substantial NIL program that also is a national leader.
The resources certainly aren't lacking at AU.

Then he should have tried harder! And been successful and a good coach! He’s ruining his résumé!

AU and UF are pretty lateral. It would come down to where the coach wanted to live. It is possible a coach would be more attracted to the SEC East because of easier scheduling. However, if you're going to UF, you have a tough schedule (LSU, UGA and FSU every year). So not really that much easier than in the west.

Texas, of course, is a top 5 job.
A&M is a pretty good job but they haven't won anything in the SEC. Their last Big-12 conference title was in 1998 and their last natty was in 1939. If you're talking about on-the-field success, AU is a better job than A&M. But aTm's money would be a draw for anyone. I can see their NIL fund being a big draw for a coach.

You're nuts if you think Auburn has better "resources" than The University of Florida.
And about NIL specifically: either Auburn doesn't have enough money to be a contender or the boosters that have the money won't pay it unless it's a coach of their own choice. Neither is good. According to 247...
Auburn is sitting at #39 in the nation a few weeks till signing day

and that's ridiculous too. Auburn and UF aren't lateral. Recruiting alone makes UF a much better job because The University of Florida is the keystone university in the state with more elite football players than any state in the nation. The right coach will recruit well there every year, while Auburn has to deal with instate Alabama and Georgia on the other side.
edit to note that UF is 2nd behind only Alabama in SEC title games played and title games won.

AU and Florida both have 8 SEC titles. UF has 1 more national title.

Means nothing. Florida has to compete with FSU, Miami, Bama, UGA, Tennessee, Auburn, LSU, Ohio State, Notre Dame and a TON of other schools. Everyone raids Florida nowadays.

Because Spurrier dominated the SEC in the 90's. He went to Atlanta almost every year. Did you know that before Spurrier got to UF that UF did not have a single SEC title? UF had been in the SEC since 1932 and didn't have a single title until 1990.

Sooner or later, that adolescent is going to have to show that he can stay in one job for more than 15 minutes.

Matt Campbell kept waiting for that perfect job. He is currently 4-7 about to be 4-8 and no jobs are sniffing him
