Perkins needs 5.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks in his next game to tie Myles Garrett’s true freshman season total in 11 games.

Don’t see him being able to accomplish that but still a very productive year for the player.

What was Myles Garrett's SEC only stats. Was he a difference maker in the SECCG?

ETA: Looked it up

Garrett only SEC stats: 13 tackles and 2 sacks

Perkins only SEC stats: 18 tackles and 7.5 sacks.

Perkins has already passed Garrett in tackles, interceptions, passes defended and forced fumbles.

Myles Garrett was a hell of a player. As good as Perkins is, I don’t see him getting that many, even against UAB.

Perkins probably has played quite a bit fewer snaps as well. Kind of athing to compare those two as freshman.

Based on how he did against Arkansas, I wouldn't be too confident he can't do that against UAB

Considering he played limited snaps for the first 6-7 games, yeah, it is.

He also has more sacks against SEC competition this year than Garrett ever did in a season, so there's that.

Garrett against SEC teams
2014 3 sacks, 3.5 TFL
2015 5 sacks, 11 TFL
2016 3 sacks, 9 TFL

Perkins freshman season against SEC teams:
2022 6.5 sacks, 7 TFL

Nice attempt at a subtle troll, though

That's an amazing stat.

Liberty at least has a pulse.

Even more embarrassing is the fact that Arkansas tripped over themselves lost to the worst team in the division / maybe conference (A&M)

Myles Garrett's freshman season included 2 sacks against Lamar, 2.5 against Rice, and 3.5 against UL Monroe

Once again Arkansas lost to Liberty.

Doubling his sack total vs Arkansas doesn’t mean more because they are a SEC member

Texas A&M played the same Arkansas team, and all of the Aggies' five-star freshmen combined for one sack.

Sure it does. Arkansas had only allowed 18 sacks in 9 games prior to the LSU game, which was middle of the road in the SEC.

Apparently texag3-7 is happy Perkins isn’t with A&M. He thinks Perkins is a head case and would be a distraction to the team

Jussie always feasted against cupcake schools you’ve never heard of. SEC games…not so much. Also went 0-fer in his career vs LSU.
