Yes he got a decent raise, but im more intrigued in how much more money he is alloted for assistants and other football staff, he basically has $5.4million more to spend by next year on assistants and staff. That is big time.

Booster boss mentioned that one of the implied conditions of the extension was hiring an OC/staff expansion, allowing Drink to concentrate more on recruitment/portal.

Unless Drink sleeps with all the Golden Girls, he isn't getting fired.

Hell, that would be enough to get a contract extension in my book.

QB coach can take a hike. Eli has been the QB coach before, and ours obviously isn't good, so cant be much worse if at all.

Not sure I understand the raise & extension at this time but colleges over signing coaches isn't new.

I think he had less than 4 years on his contract.

I don’t get the massive raise for a sub-.500 coach. I do understand extending his contract.
It doesn’t make sense to have Baker signed for longer than Drinkwitz.

IIRC Gabe said it was to be used towards hiring coaches, i guess he could also say frick it and hold onto it himself. But it was known that part of the reason for the bump was to hire an OC.

That's the 5.4 million in addition to the raise, for staff hires/expansion.

He’s getting a $2M raise in his personal salaries. By the last year of the contract, he will be making $7M.
His staff salary pool is also going up significantly.
