Would Bama or TN still be unbeaten in another conference?

Possibly not the Big 10, but outside of that?

PAC and Big12 absolutely.

That’s why I don’t want to hear a peep about Oregon and TCU over the top 3 SEC teams.

So then this is an argument for expanding the play-off. This way LSU or TN can play TCU or Ore.

Yes, assuming they're not both in the same other conference

Most likely. PAC12 is pretty shitty. Florida beat one of their better teams. The conference is also 0-3 vs. the SEC. Seems pretty arbitrary to give a PAC team the nod over Tennessee because they won a bad conference

To 6 or at the most 8 yes. Not 12.

Probably. Georgia and possibly Ohio State are the only teams that could beat Tennessee this year.

You think Bama or Tenn would lose a game playing Clemson's schedule? I don't think they would

I think we would be unbeaten in the Big I mean come on OSU really isn’t that good. I have watched them play several games. TCU and Tennessee would be a damn good game . Oregon and Tennessee would be a good game as well. Bama would most likely win either of those games.LSU would win either as well. Ga is the rightful #1 team that I don’t think we can beat if we played again. I don’t see LSU or Bama beating Ga either but that is why we play the game

ACC, Pac12, Big 12 for sure...and most likely the Big 10 also

Thing is Alabama could get away with playing Clemson's schedule but Tennessee can't. That is the difference between us right now. We're in a major rebuild - coming out of 15 years of mediocrity. The only way we come out of that and land right on the playoffs doorstep is by playing the schedule we have and winning the games we have won. It's also why 1 loss isn't enough to write us off but would write us off if we were playing Clemson's schedule without recent history on our side.

For once, Tennessee actually benefited from playing the toughest teams in the West + the toughest in the East.

ACC, Big 12, and PAC-10 - yes
B1G - Alabama no; Tennessee would boil down to a one-game season of Ohio State or Michigan (presuming they're taking the place of one of those teams - both Alabama and Tennessee would easily win the West division and might go undefeated depending on the East division opponent)

This seems about right. I think tOSU could give both teams problems. UM has an embarrassing SoS this year and I just don't know how good they really are vs. the competition they've played.

I think you're underselling BAMA a bit here. The SEC grind matters. I think tOSU could whip both Tennessee and BAMA on any given Saturday but both could also whip them. And how different would these two teams be right now without the grind?

Could you keep your melting to designated threads. You would think you lost by the way you are acting.

Tn probably, Bama would have at least 1 if not two losses in any other conference. Bama is a top 25 team but not sniffing top 10.

Tennessee probably would. Alabama almost lost to 5-3 Texas so, Bama will be a no for me

Every conference but the SEC. We probably would.

Tennessee as long as they didn't play like they did against Pitt would do it too.
