You hit the nail on the head with the BH hire. Who you got this time?

I want to hear from jville’s sauces.

I doubt it.
I thought Dooley was coming in 1981.
Always wrong.

Ok, for real, what I have been hearing is Kevin Steele, Ellis Johnson, and Ted Roof are going to committee the job.

Look, we are all a little fragile now and don't need this kind of provocation

If I post it, you can take it to the bank that it is absolutely without a doubt
Wrong!!!

My sauces are very quiet right now. Could be a good or bad thing. At least that means that the PTB aren’t running around rogue and dropping names that they want to the media, like last time.

Can you imagine how different the SEC landscape would have been if Dooley had stuck to his word and come home to AU?
Would Dye have succeeded him at UGa, or stuck around Wyoming a couple more years to take the Bama gig when Bryant hung it up?

I think they will be a bit more thoughtful of the overall success needs of a CFB program.

quote:It wasn't a rumor. Dooley publicly accepted the job. Why he had a change of heart was the part that had all the rumor and speculation. Personally I think Barbara Dooley did what women often do. And that, as they say, was that. I doubt it could have worked out any better for AU in the end considering that back-up was Patrick Fain Dye. This should serve as a lesson for us all as AU hires a new coach. Sometimes the back-up, or even the back-up's backup is the guy that makes it all work.
I'd heard that rumor as well.

I had the initial list of those interviewed and it turned out to be true. You must be one of those Bammer believers.

Hugh Freeze interview twice last time and was the backup if Harsin was fired this past Feb. due to the investigation. He is still very high with a lot of people.

The people who are paid writers and publishers of all things Auburn don't know anything. That has been empirically established for at least two coaching cycles and maybe three. Yet you do?
Do you have any good jokes or funny anecdotes?

There are people who know people at high level. Those people tell their friends what is going on. They do not go to the press, even the Auburn press because they do not know who to trust. The AU press is aligned will certain PTB who have a special agenda and are used as mouthpieces. And if you have been an Auburn fan or alum for more than 10 years, you know it is true.
Do you have any good jokes or funny anecdotes?
What is that point?

Irons Puppet this is not the internet bulletin boards of 2008 replete with 'guru' bonafides for guessing correctly. I read the SEC board and you don't even guess correctly. No one believes you, nor should they. Stop the 'guru' act and just be normal. I'd be fine with all the rumored candidates, including Grimes and Stoops. You?
