With that being said, the wildcat would give us an extra blocker, because Bryce isn’t running, but I’m not sure the extra blocker would benefit us.
The only success we’ve had the last two years is spreading people out and other staffs have figured us out

Yes because unimaginative running scheme which is basically off-tackle or in the middle.

At times, I think we are too cute in some of our blocking schemes.
I see some teams that just fire off, push the guy in front of you best you can and teach the rbs to be patient and explode through seams.
I mean, it’s not like we are opening up running lanes

When was the last time we did anything creative? A reverse, flea-flicker, oh sh*t play.

I’m not saying we need a gimmick offense but those things have been in our playbook for years and they’ve disappeared the last two seasons.

RPO quick slants killed teams for the last 2 years but we forgot all about that

Jim McElwain beat Steve Spurrier in 2009 when he went all in with the wildcat on that memorable 4th quarter drive.

at the poster who suggester McElwain and BoB were basically equal. I'd have given my left nut to have had McElwain running the offense in Baton Rouge.

Our OL would get blown up and we'd end up with an 8 yard loss.

Direct snapping to our most explosive offensive player in power running formation would be a disaster?

Yeah. Because our OL is mediocre at best, and our most explosive player is no Derrick Henry or Mark Ingram or Najee Harris.

If you want a full Wildcat package, the best player for that option would be Milroe. He is bigger than any of our RB's, strong, fast, and can even throw a little bit. His throws are not that accurate but he still has the threat to launch one if the safeties come up too much.

Milroe and R Williams for the base or Milroe and Gibbs for an edge

I was wondering about that also. Milroe is big, strong, and fast. It seems like we could use him either in wildcat, or line him up in different packages so the defense wouldn't know what to expect (he could line up as a RB, a WR, or as a QB).

Actually, it wouldn't if Bryce stays on the field. When McElwain ran it down Spurrier's throat in 09, McElroy stayed on the field and was a wide out. Yet, we ran it down their throats because Mark Ingram, Barrett Jones, James Carpenter, Mike Johnson, and Colin Peek. Didn't need the extra blocker. And a DB still has to go out with the QB just in case.

Our most explosive player is scarier than Najee & Mark.

You got an Alvin Kamara clone in the backfield and you allow Bryce to throw it 51 times tf?

Keep giving it to Gibbs because eventually he's going to break some big runs.

Point to one game this year where he's exhibited more explosiveness against a quality opponent. I'll wait.

What a unique, innovative, and imaginative idea.

Wow.

You should let Saban know ASAP.

I think Gibbs is our best player. Whether it's wildcat, bobcat (no pun intended) house cat, thunder cat I don't give a shite....he should be getting the ball a lot more!

Surprised you post here. Thought you were a A&M troll for the rant.

Anyways, your sarcasm proves my point. It ain't even that amazing an idea but that dumbass BOB still couldn't think of it.

Still an extra blocker because it draws his man out

Bryce just isn’t a running option. Wildcat is based off numbers in the box and pre snap movement of the defense based on motion
