Can tennessee's defense hold up for 4 quarters in Sanford?
They have a good run defense. But how well will they stop the run late 3rd and 4th quarter?

Don’t know, everyone has abandoned the run by halftime trying to keep pace with Hooker and company.

That doesn't make sense.
7 points running counts the same as 7 points passing.

No way Tenn can handle Ga's big and extremely talented TEs. Them playing should be made illegal.

It’ll dawn on you sometime Saturday when you realize you are behind a few scores and the clock isn’t your friend.

I don’t know. We are much better than last year but still flawed. I’m not so certain that Bennet is equipped to exploit our weaknesses this year.

So far they have answered the challenge against so decent RBs. The bigger question will be”will UGA still be able to run the ball consistently in the 3rd and 4th quarter.”

Why would the clock not be UGAs friend?
Tennessee runs a 2 minute offense. We are getting the ball right back.

I expect #18 to have a big game.

At Home.
You left that part out.
I can't wait for the answer.

We have a 3 headed monster. It definitely isn't the traditional 3 headed monster. I will grant you that.

Bennett scored 44 points against Tennessee in a covid year 2020.
Then he scored 42 points at Kneeland in 2021.
This is Kirby's best offense yet (43.7 ppg against P5 opponents).
Keeping UGA out of the endzone appears to be your weakness.

Totally different team this year. Doesn’t mean we will win but I do think it means that we won’t lose due to the same causes as last year. We got physically pushed around last year and I don’t see that happening again

So you see Tennessee holding Bennett to less than 42 points?
The best way to hold UGA to under 42 points is to be down by 14+ and watch our run game bleed 7 minutes as we march downfield.

Thing that I have not heard much in listening to discussions of the game- UGA actually runs a great up tempo offense when they want to, and doing that out of a 12 or 13 set is both an enormous help to the run game, as Washington is basically like having a 6th OL, and a major matchup problem for a tired defensive backfield if they pass out of it.
I think UGA goes uptempo a lot, if not the whole, first half. And they don't need to change personnel to throw all sorts of wrinkles at a defense, especially with McIntosh being such a great receiver out of the backfield.

Yea… we went up tempo against Oregon. Quick screens/slants etc. AD will be back too. Look for UGA to wear those fat fricks out early and often.

It has been one of our 2nd half sparks... running behind trips formation with Bowers and Washington.
The big TEs block down and we run counter or stretch zone behind them.
The defense just folds under the tight ends.
Then we fake the run and drag the tight ends in front of a bootleg for an easy 8 to 15 yards (only a blitz ready for the bootleg can stop this play)

Sometimes not even then- see Bowers’ shoestring catch behind him vs SC.

It would be nice to see UGA with another Butkus award caliber ILB in Xavian Sorey Jr break out against Tennessee. But I think you meant #19.
