Ah so the band who stated that it did not intend to mess up the Tom Petty tribute before, now tried to mess it up again.

You guys were asking for stuff you be thrown at you.

While I do not condone that behavior, I think we should not invite the band back any longer. Although I am pretty sure that this rivalry will sadly come to an end with expansion anyway.

Not very hospitable to not allow the visitor to do their tradition. One that spans decades before that hack cut some grass in gainsville

LSU’s band waited for UF to finish blasting a Tom Petty song over the PA

That is not what the article says, so one of you are lying. I wouldn't be surprised if if was the newspaper guy, as they seem to lie all the time.

Started during the Mcelwain era so they probably should have just added shark fricking to the tradition list.

Regardless of how good or bad the Tom Petty gig is, it is our home game and if the LSU band keeps pissing people off, it is probably better they stay home. We lose plenty of games and seem to behave alright with other team's marching bands. So it is pretty easy to figure out what needs to go.

And it sucks because the marching bands are one of the best traditions in college football. But traditions don't seem to matter much to people anymore, especially young folks. Which is fairly sad.

Disagree

But the LSU band needs to play loud as hell anytime Tom Petty is mentioned

Do they have the stamina? I don’t think they would be able to stop playing.

If you played a drinking game based on Tom Petty mentions, you’d be passed out before the end of the 1st quarter.

That sounds something Joe Alleva said to Jeremy Foley back in 2016.

I always thought it was a quid pro quo deal that all schools allowed the other school's band.

Typical LSU. A few good fans and a bunch of POSs.

Shouldn’t it be PsOS?

RBI or RBIs?

Y’all know the deal.

Hmm, decent point, but not entirely persuasive, since RBI is now an actual term. I don’t think POS has moved past its abbreviation phase.
