"The big thing our players need to do, is learn from this experience, have more respect for playing with discipline."

"you gotta learn from the mistakes that you made"

"hope everybody is all in on the work you gotta do, and can play better"

On the last drive: "I don't think we should've ran it instead of pass it, I don't mean that at all, you gotta throw the ball hot and we didn't do it exactly right."

I know he can't throw his coaches under the bus, but I find it interesting that he didn't really mention anything about the coaching decisions when we clearly lost this game because we were out-coached.

He’s gotten SOFT. Will Anderson is soft af as well. Goes MIA in our biggest games. Bunch of quitters on this team. That 2008 team lost but they were mean as frick. We have zero dawgs.

He’s content. Just like any other senior citizen in their last couple of years in the work force.

Honestly Nick, frick you. This is your fault not the players. Take some ownership and demand more from yourself and your coaches. I’m over his sanctimonious BS about player performance. HOW ABOUT YOU PERFORM!!!!!!

The amount of people calling for Saban to retire or be fired after a loss are astounding. No one wonder our fanbase has such a dogshit reputation.

Clearly he's underestimated what losing to Tennessee means.. All of those forces he's repelled for 15 years are going to descend on him

I've only seen one poster call for him to be fired, and it's insane that one would do that. But, I do think they need to take responsibilty as coaches for some of the problems that led to our demise tonight. Surprised he didn't because he usually shoots straight, but I guess he has been protective of his direct reports which is what a good leader does. Either way, I don't think he can place the blame solely on poor execution from the players, and it came across that way.

You can't ride these players like you could before NIL. For one they are already getting paid and two they don't have to take the arse chewing. Hope in the portal and pick a new team.

Somebody said it really well earlier. NIL is the one thing Saban can't compete with.

Has Nick Saban ever taken responsibility?

Unless he talked about why they never worked on putting rricks or Jackson in and moving Kool-aid, then it’s just wasted time.

Or, why they didn’t recognize that every one of Reichard’s misses have been from the right hash and should’ve run to the left on first or second down, then again, it’s just wasted time.

Nick needs to get off the Valium and go back and watch his pregame and postgame speeches from 2008 and 2009 and coach like that again. Make their arse quit is so much better than I’m proud of the team for competing against (insert whatever weak arse team you want here) Nick Saban would’ve had a neck vein burst after the way we have played lately. But, he isn’t that man anymore. We just have to accept it, he has changed and that fire and brimstone coach isn’t coming back.

Why not? He has before. Remember the nationally televised arse chewing of Lane Kiffin, in a game that had already been decided?
