Original comment against Lee’s assertion that Auburn can hire a top quality coach:

quote:

I disagree with your take on coaches wanting to come to auburn. No coach will have full reign with the current powerbrokers (boosters) in control. Auburn is not aligned internally and without that alignment we’ll continue to be a mid-level SEC team (at best).

Justin Lee’s response:

quote:

You know what? No. No one has to accept this fanfiction and gaslighting anymore. Bryan Harsin deserves to be fired, and he's still employed, still supported: an insane, preposterous, inexplicable gift from the Heavens making him the single LUCKIEST COACH IN FOOTBALL.

quote:

They are AWFUL — I repeat AWFUL — at the only things Bryan Harsin ever said he'd bring to the table.

"Do the little things right." They can't even hold onto the ball!

“Play to the whistle." Georgia pushed the pile like 10 times yesterday because they don't do that either!

quote:

The "QB whisperer" who's all about grit and doing the little things right, can't even coach his players to hold onto the ball. That's not about talent. That's not about "the cupboard bare". That's about holding on to the ball!

quote:

The guy preaches discipline, and they are ABYSMALLY disciplined. All those false starts! That's not talent! That's not skill! That's not a deficiency! The play hasn't even started yet! It's just lining up and doing things the right way!

quote:

And here he is, getting 100% of his contract still, because of a president change and an AD change, and we witness this cosmic coincidence, this twist of fate in his favor, this incredible gift he's been granted from the stars, and they cry "It's unfair"!

quote:

And for whatever reason, the university omitted the real reason for the inquiry into the program — the investigation into the possible mistreatment of Black football players — and allowed him to make a statement suggesting it was about the affair rumors.

So no. He's lucky.

quote:

And to his credit, I strongly doubt he's going to say a word or cry foul, and he's just going to take his money and go, but Auburn people don't have to take this bullshite anymore and I suggest they don't. He's had more support than he ever should've gotten. Period. End of story.

Look, I want Harsin to go, but Lee is idiotic if he's trying to legitimize the investigation. Like 80% of the roster is black. Was Harsin only racist to some black players and not others? How's that work exactly?

I’m starting to hate Harsin. Like for real.

I don't like the sour grapes comment. If Harsin was hired by the right process he might be successful at AU. Instead we had a Steven Leath appendage go off and hire his own coach with Leath's/Gouge's tacit approval. Roberts is the Key to the future alignment.

Not at Boise. Also there is a lot reason Mason left. Mason is the reason for the investigation.

It works the same way it works in every other industry with every ethnic group. As long as the person seems to reflect your version of values and culture they're "the good ones". The ones that don't, become the "thugs, f*gs, chinks, kikes..."

Hars needs to go for a ton of reasons. Whatever "culture change" he was trying to make here didn't work. Clearly this team has been divided for a while and whatever it was that created the divide, he did it.

I don’t know much about the origination of the investigation but the affair rumor came out from left field from Reddit basically and got way too much attention

We know that in the beginning it was centered around Kobe, a few other disgruntleds, and Mason.

Mason left because he was a cuck who'd been a head coach for 6 years. He was yelled and screamd at because his defense didn't perform. That's Harsin. That's fine with me but Harsin doesn't have support of anyone. You have to have that, so moving on.

This. It’s not a coincidence the ones that left all had similar personalities. Kobe, Worm, Lee Hunter. Smoke and Zakoby spoke to it as well. He doesn’t understand or respect those with more boisterous personalities and you’re kidding yourself if you don’t think you need those players to compete in the SEC.

Also he was definitely having an affair, or at least a relationship outside of an open marriage.

What a joke you keep bringing this up.

Mason causes an investigation but doesn't sign some paper to help close the case that confirms Harsin is a racist or something?

How does he care about the players and others if he remains quiet? Does that mean Mason is cowardly or was he lying?

You need to stop with the bullshite on that one, or provide proof of some kind.

Harsin has proven to be a horrible choice as HC and proof runneth over he should be fired for incompetence, but you either provide something tangible to back up your claim or stfu.

One sentence triggered you that much? Nice!!!!
Stop with bullshite or provide proof? Think about that statement.......that dog don't hunt and my skin is way to thick. But good try!
Plus... why the hell do I need to prove anything to you? It is all internet fodder right?
I was replying to 2010 who I happen to think is spot on in a number of things.
I stand behind everything I have posted on this board.
I am far from a tough guy at 64.
I will be at the corner of Mell and Samford in front of Swingle Hall every home game. I also will be on the top row of the bottom half of section 14. I have 10 seats there. Come to the rail of 14 and ask anyon their for Big Tastey! Then you can tell me to stfu.

BigTastey, so what paper are you saying Mason wouldn’t sign?

I’m actually a Mason fan but not a fan of his system and believe his system of bend not break worked in most games last year.

Honestly limited with how far I can go. Must respect that.
It was related to the OC/DC mtg Harsin called shortly after the IB. Subject was recruiting and Harsin stated he wanted blue blood country boys and not intercity thugs... or at least implied it.
Mason naturally went off. Took it quietly up to the next level
and that started the school looking.
