The biggest concern from this game isn’t that we lost 40-17, it’s that our coaches were even considering the fact that Cade Fortin was a better option than Hornsby.

You really have to be concerned at our coaches’ ability to evaluate talent.

BuT mUh CaDe ForTiN

Ridiculous. No reason Hornsby should not have been more involved in the offense before now.

Don’t forget the punter.

26 yard punt.

Bauer proceeds to come in and boot one to the 40 from the end zone.

Fortin over Hornsby.

Bauer over Fletcher.

Brini and McGlothern over Brooks and Foucha.

This staff has been rolling snake eyes left and right with their personnel decisions. That is concerning.

Unless it was more of a let’s play Cade because Hornsby can’t get hurt against Bama or we are screwed.

Probably the reason you haven’t seen him in all those swings, screens, and other passing routes. Knowing we would need him at QB if anything happens.

I highly doubt they suggested Brooks and Foucha should leave.

I thought that excuse was we are letting our coverage team get in place. Don’t out kick the coverage.

I’ve been saying this since week 1.

Until the second half today we had a punter who averaged 44 YPP for a 9 win team riding the pine in favor of an Aussie who couldn’t punt the ball 35 yards and was among the worst in the nation in net punting yardage.

Either Bauer stinkholed a coach’s wife or this staff completely fricked the dog in terms of choosing Fletcher and refused to course correct until halfway through the season.

That’s been the most egregious mistake of all this season. Why I’m the hell fletcher is starting over Bauer blows my mind. Same with not getting Dominique Johnson the ball more. It’s like our staff plays favorites or something

Yeah, I don’t think that’s how that went down.

Seemed more of they were mad at the CB coach or mad he was let go. And they got the option to play at home.

Nope it was said in both the game thread and somewhere on this forum too.

From the quotes from Pittman in press conferences, the medical staff seemed to clear him but Johnson wasn’t ready.

The few times he has been in, he hasn’t been good. Neither has AJ Green.

Dubinion and Rocket have been the best bet.

Not true. Johnson was getting 8 yards a clip in the second half of the TAMU game. Then we had the botched snap which ended the drive

The misevaluations by the staff are what concern me the most going forward. Pittman and Co have shown zero ability to recruit a QB so far that is actually worth a damn. Remember, KJ is a Cajd recruit and they won't even let Malik see the field unless there's basically no other bodies left at the position.

The 4* kid at LT Christian if being hotly pursued by Ole Miss and we're apparently slow playing him in favor of some other guys from our of state.

I'm sorry, but Kiff knows a hell of a lot more about qb recruiting and development than our guys do.
