At Alabama he won 81%
At AM he was at roughly 35%

His 1992 team beats any AM team in the sugar bowl by 35.

At aTm tha Bear had only a little time to implement his play for pay scheme, where as at the almighty Gump University it was a well oil machines after Auburn made that arse quit and went on to assume room temperature not long after. Unfortunately ole Gene Gene the cheating machine had to “retire” as well after his ineptitude was exposed.

Remember what Bear said about first setting foot in College Station, right?

He said when he got off the plane and looked around, he wanted to puke.

He outlasted Pat Dye who had to resign in disgrace.

The Bear himself couldn’t win a Nc at A&M.

Didn’t Jackie Sherrill also won a NC somewhere else? Pitt maybe?

Adding Fisher that is 4 NC winning coaches that haven’t won one there.

A&M is a farce.

Why did LSU have to hire the GOAT to win one, the same guy who brought it to Bama?

It's all about timing and resources.

b/c Cotton Bowl win against Bear notwithstanding he was kind of a shitty coach when he was at A&M (likely due to only being 30 when he was hired) and had to go learn under Tom Landry in Dallas for a decade and then was HC for the Cardinals before going to coach Bama.

Coach Bryant recommended Stallings as his replacement but Stallings was under contract to the Cowboys and wouldn't break it even though he wanted to coach at Alabama. You don't see that anymore.

He wasn’t when he went to LSU.

How about Miles and Orgeron? How do you spin that?

Saban likely wouldn’t win one at A&M either. Bama and LSU have won with other coaches… 4 A&M coaches have won one…elsewhere

The simple answer is that his time coincided with Texas's run in which they won 3 titles. No kid was going to go to the farm school in a one-horse town instead of Austin.

Y'all are always bragging about your endowment. And your can't get the time right, not once in your entire history? Not even with all that oil money.

Yet poor, broke, bumpkin arse Alabama has had the resources and timing work out 12 times since the 1960s? With 3 different coaches? 2 that coached at A&M?

Sherrill didn't win a NC as a HC.

Johnny Majors was the HC at Pitt when they won a NC.

Sherrill succeeded Majors as the Pitt HC.
