The only decent offense that LSU has played was FSU

And they lost.
Moo moo isn't even in the top 50 of total offense despite their cupcake schedule thus far.
New Mexico state is ranked 130 or something.
Why is this team all of a sudden acting like they are the old school Pittsburgh Steelers of CFB or something now?
The LSU defense hasn't seen anything close to what the Vols are going to bring into town in two weeks.

The Vols just gave up 453 yards passing to a guy who was averaging 141 entering the game.

Dude, this D is nasty. Stop trying to make yourself feel better. You will find out soon enough

Vols don't claim an elite total defense.
We have a good defensive line, good run defense and pass rush, but only one good linebacker and only one good DB.

Mike Leach doesn’t coach a decent offense anymore? Lol

No reasonable LSU fan is saying our defense is the best in the nation.
But the unit overall has improved dramatically since the first week, and I don't use stats to make that judgement. We will get to see how that improvement translate to conference play the next couple of weeks.

Miss St has a better offense than your whole schedule except Ball St
It’s four games so stats look jacked up right now

Meh, it was the head coach's first game with a new team. They've progressed more than a lot of people expected in just 4 games and had to have time to fill a big gap to an injured guy (Smith).
Yes, Tenn. will be a big challenge. Looking forward to seeing this matchup. If the Vols pull it out, it will be a quality road win for them.

Nasty? Only decent looking total offense you played was FSU and they hung near 400 yards and 24 points on you.
Tennessee will easily get 500 plus total yards likely 600 plus and 40 plus points. Don't kid yourselves.

Our defensive line is actually good. Our secondary is cole slaw until proven otherwise, unfortunately.

Yes. Hold tight to this belief. Share it with the football team as well! There is no way a team can improve from their 1st game (with an entire new coaching staff) to their 6th game.

Our DL would be great if Mason Smith had not tore his acl on a freak play early in the FSU game. It’s still very good without him. Our DEs are great pass rushers in Ojulari and Gaye.
LBs are starting to look solid with the emergence of Harold Perkins.
The secondary is playing well with Jay Ward leading the group with all of the transfers. Sevyn Banks got his first action last weekend and performed well and Joey Foucha is eligible after sitting out the 1st 4 games.

Hillbillies haven't played a defense all year. Reality about to strike....

It was UT's version of the Rope-a-Dope. They just kept letting him complete passes until his arm got tired.

Your attempt of reverse psychology and futile data analysis won't be able to overcome the motivation of a rebuilding program's hunger to get back to where they once were 3 short years ago. As the first ranked opponent for the Tigers, we will let the teams speak for themselves on 10/8/22 as to who will feed that hunger.

Pitt has a better overall dline than LSU and is ranked #35 total defense. Keep in mind they have played against two top 20 ranked offenses already.
We admittedly struggled more on offense vs them than anyone else so far, though. That was mainly because Hooker was throwing the ball too high though that game.

Let's look at what the stats actually show about LSU's opponents' offenses. NCAA Total Offense Rankings:
15. Florida State
FCS 29. Southern
56. Mississippi St.
125. New Mexico State
Next week:
89. Auburn
Two Weeks:
1. Tennessee
NCAA Total Offense Rankings through Sept 25th
ETA...when the meet in 2 weeks...LSU will also be the highest ranked offense UT will have faced. To this point, UT's offensive opponents are weaker than LSU's.
