I like Bryan Harsin. I genuinely do. But I was in Auburn last weekend and when I said those same two sentences at a WDE tailgate, suddenly an orange-clad grandma reflexively tried to hit me in the face with her tiger-striped purse. So, a Plains old jump into the Coveted Fifth Spot it is.

Lol. That didn’t happen until after the game.

Harsin probably had 80% of the fan base until Saturday night. Sunday morning he probably had less than 10 % of the base.

And for anyone that is in that 10% I ask you since the Ole Miss win last year what has you left with hope? Don’t give excuses give me what has gone right?

There has been what 6-8 portal cycles since the staff came on board and hasn’t picked up 1 OL. Hmmm

Don't worry we had a good week of practice and Harsin is doing a lot of work, hard work this week so I'm sure things will turn around.

Only thing important is what the Hardashians are wearing to the next game.

Not sure if this is correct, but the lack of focus on the OL over the last five years or more is very concerning.

Man, we gotta make a list of things not to say or do as the head coach at Auburn after Harsin:
Work, Hard Work
no recruiting fingers (which now could just be him pointing them towards the portal or another team now)
1-0 mentality ( I still have no idea what this means btw)
No stealing of Saban's process sayings

Can’t remember the exact but pretty sure it’s been at least 6 cycles but possibly 8. I get lost trying to keep all the numbers correct because they keep moving the portal times

Had 80% is probably a little strong. 80% were probably cautiously optimistic because it’s just miserable to have zero hope that early in the season.

But you’re right about his support plummeting. Conversations went from “Hey maybe we’ll pull off some miracle to have a goodish season” to “Who’s going to be the next coach?”

1-0 mentality

Sad to see this lose favor. I like the 1-0 mentality haha.

As in, if you're a player focus on the individual task in front of you and get that done - approach everything you do as a must-win. Then go to the next task you have to get done and focus on it. I actually like it as an approach to life. If you take care of the each little thing (going 1-0 over and over and over) then the big things will all fall into place as a result of every small win.

Don't lose focus on what's right in front of you "I'm not starting so my goal is to start". No - go in and get your film work done, get your weight room done, get good practices in, get to class, get rest and nutrition, get those little 1-0s over and over and the winning, starting, achievements take care of themselves.

I really wanted to say a decade, but feel comfortable we had Braden and GRob in that time frame.

Well when you've gone through 3+ seasons with abysmal offense and poor football IQ you lose faith quick.

Actually the way the Boise boys say it is "work hard, work." Which is when I first had my suspicions about them.

Didn’t say anything was wrong with it.

I kinda lost faith when our 1 QB transfer we brought in couldn’t crack the two deep.

You don't expect them to talk about recruiting and a game plan do you?

guess I forgot he’s a transfer. Think of him more like a true freshman.
