I have.
Basically the main outsider perspective now is that nothing's changed since Gus was let go, which makes it harder to find a fit here long term if we're firing the guy we replaced him with after not even two full seasons.
Not saying that they're saying he shouldn't be fired, but that it's hard to figure out who could reasonably replace him.
Basically it's about optics about how you treat the guy on his way out, which is why they wouldn't be surprised if he made it to Bloody Sunday (the day after the last regular season game)

Why would he do that? Nobody is that dumb. We're going to have to fire him. You'd sure have to fire me.
I get what you're saying about the buyout (who would leave that behind), but you have to put yourself in his shoes. Does he want to go down like Chad Morris or Scott Frost, or does he want to salvage his career and get out before things really go south? Some things are worth more than money, especially when you're 45 and have a lot of career left. Besides, if he takes the ASU job, it's not like they are gonna pay him 35k a year. He will be making 7 figures.
All that said, I am skeptical that ASU is really interested.

There are bad things that are known about his time at Boise,
Yeah, a while back I read some Boise boards and Boise newspapers. Up there it is known that Harsin is impossible to work with. One Boise beat reporter said Harsin treated his assistants terribly, but they were not "big name" assistants who could easily find other work, so they just had to "take it."
So what happened is Harsin got to AU and thought he could pull this with guys like Bobo and Mason (both former head coaches). He learned quick that people who have other options won't put up with it.
As for Bobo, I am not sure Harsin even hired him anyway. While they did both coach in the WAC and knew each other, I am now inclined to think Bobo was pushed on him by the PTB. It's just too weird that Bobo was gonna be Steele's OC before Harsin was hired. So if it's true Bobo was pushed on him, then that likely strained the relationship from the start.

He just isn’t cut out for for the social aspects of coaching in this environment where he has zero ties and every move is watched by the best writers and fans
Best writers- wtf, that is the funniest shite I’ve read in years.

I can show you here where nobody wanted an objective discussion about Harsin’s reputation at Boysee.
Got to hand it to ya, jang - you were raising what turned out to be valid concerns about Harsin back when he was riding high.

Found this prescient post from Corch:

I support Harsin but it's ok to support and still question some things and be critical even in a first year. He's proven nothing so far at AU. Hell we could lose 3-4 more games this season. Who is going to be happy with a 6 and 7 record?
