Hard to take much from a cupcake beatdown but here's what I noticed

- We found our return man. Brian Branch should be our guy for the rest of the year. He has the IT factor a returner needs.

- Amari Niblack looks like the real deal.

- My main takeaway is that it seems like our underclassmen skill players are more talented than the older guys. #26 is a dog at RB.
We've got a lot of good looking freshmen WRs and RBs - just need them to step up

How many passes have the young WRs dropped at this point?

We have speed coming out our ears in the WR and RB group; they need to develop chemistry and timing with Bryce.
Media thinks our team is slow. What a joke.
When they jell together we will see fire and smoke.

Did he block anybody?

We already knew he can catch wide open touchdowns.

I don’t think our young WR have any idea what they are doing yet.

They aren’t sitting on zone routes, they aren’t where Bryce expects them on vertical routes and they are dropping catchable balls.

They are incredible athletes right now, they aren’t incredible WRs.

Niblack isn’t an in-line TE, he’s one of those Aaron Hernandez/Kyle Pitts big WRs who play in space.

I wouldn’t expect him to block any better than Julio Jones did as a freshman until he shows otherwise.

I noticed Dalcourt hurt his ankle late in the game. Also saw early in the game he was really effective on double team blocks. He knocked some DL on their arse a couple times. I see what the coaches like in him. But he's limited in his mobility.

Booker played a lot in this game too. Not sure how he did but I guess he got a lot of those reps Randolph was getting bc Randolph was playing TE. We don't have anyone on the roster that can play the jumbo TE spot like Randolph.

I know it was for a TD, but I think only one of those returns was Branch. The rest of those were Kool-Aid.

Yeah i know. Im saying Branch looks a lot better with the ball in his hands. He's a more decisive runner and more quick twitch.

He's the guy

They need to bring Ridley in as an assistant for the season, since he has a year of spare time to waste

In truth, our return game had more to do with ULM than it did with our returners. For whatever reason, their punter continually boomed it down field and outkicked his coverage. There was like 10-15 yards between Kool-Aid and the nearest gunner almost every single time he caught the ball.

He'd have to enroll in classes to coach. No degree, can't coach at the ncaa level.
