I agree! I’m hopeful that hire Kiffin, but the bull shite leak tonight doesn’t help things. I have a friend who works at Ole Miss, connected up there says Kiffin is for sure going to Auburn, and that the leak came from Cohen… would be the dumbest move possible if Cohen leaked that and possibly blew the deal. Could cost Cohen his job!

Lane isnt gonna turn us down over the tweets of a local sports reporter. A few million extra a year, better program, NiL, facilities and fans. If Lane turns us down I will be surprised, but I’m not gonna melt. Hell Auburn got Chiz a NC and Gus should have won 2. Someone is gonna use that NIL and new building against Kiffin if he doesn’t take it. Given Lanes twitter troll, I wouldn’t be surprised if he told Cohen to,do it to get recruits and portal guys talking about it. Very short window the next month to get some players in.

If it was orchestrated by Cohen, then the deal isn’t happening and it’s an effort to put pressure on Kiffin.

I have a theory. We got started having hesitations after Kiffin’s crappy showing this weekend and didn’t actually offer, but Lane thought we would, and he is salty so he is stirring the pot.
If he leaves now he will be burning bridges pretty bigly.

There would’ve been no offer. We were probably just finding his ballpark price. If we were willing after learning his ballpark price we would offer and he would happily accept.
