$100 million annually compared to $30 million annually...Stanford would join in a heartbeat.
The Big 10 could get BAMA to come to the Conference with that kind of money.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)

Stanford is Harvard rich, they can do whatever they want as they don't need the money.
Their historic ties (via religion) means Notre Dame may be the canary in the coal mine as to where Stanford ends up
Look at the last B1G adds
Penn State = Public
Nebraska = Public
Maryland = Public
Rutgers = Public
UCLA = Public
USC = Private (but paired with UCLA)
Washington = Public
Oregon = Public
Now look at the ACC additions with realignment
2004 = Miami / PRIVATE
2005 = Boston College / PRIVATE
2013 = Notre Dame / PRIVATE (all sports but CFB)
2013 = Syracuse / PRIVATE

But it will not be close to that if the Big Ten keeps adding The TV deal gives 62.5 million, BTN adds another 20 million, so 82.5 million per team. If you add more teams, that figure goes down.
The Big Ten is reacting to what the SEC did with OU and UT, but they are adding lesser programs.
