South Carolina and UGA have had some hot ones in the past early on in the season. I remember the 2010 game against them in Columbia was unbearably hot at a 12:00 kickoff.

Hottest game I remember attending off the top of my head was 2016 Nicholls State, in which Georgia eeked out a 26-24 victory. It looked like UGA wilted in the heat of our own stadium.

I don’t remember how hot it actually was that day, and it’s possible that I only remember the heat because of how poorly the game went.

ETA: Evidently, it only got up to 92 that day, which isn’t that hot at all as far as early September in Georgia goes. I guess the heat got inflated in my memory because the game itself also annoyed me.

I don't think it's that big of a deal. Hydration is a major part of every program now.

Now, can it tire out a player who isn't used to it? Sure. But the good players will typically play well despite the weather. Utah has a bunch of them

we set a W-B record for heat exhaustion and Dr calls to sections over the PA that day.

one of the largest crowd roars was collectively both fan bases cheering the lone cloud in the sky that covered the sun for about 3 minutes 2Q.

the only other 'recent' game that was close was the season opener vs UNC/Thursday 6pm kickoff that ended up delayed after halftime due to lightening/thunderstorms.

That stadium felt like watching a game on the surface of the sun. I remember it raining for a bit at halftime, stopping, and then getting steamy in Williams-Brice for a bit in the third quarter. I don't know if I've ever sweated as much in my life as I did that day.
