How was Bryce not unanimous last year?

Huh... interesting that Iowa has more unanimous All-Americans than UGA and LSU.

Iowa is like the modern day Nebraska. Although less consistent and no titles. But still. That’s impressive.

Bryce was the 2021 Consensus All American, picked by AP, CBS, ESPN, FWAA, The Athletic, TSN, USAT. But Quarterback Kenny Pickett was picked by the AFCA & WCFF. Wiki link to the 2021 college footall AA team.
Same thing happened in 2020. Mac was picked as Consensus AA, but Trevor got voted AA by one major poll. Kept Mac from being unanimous. Wiki link for 2020 college footall AAs.
Same thing in 2018. Tua was picked by 3 major polls, but Kyler Murray was picked by 2. Wiki link for 2018 college footall AAs.
Alabama has had 3 Consensus All American QBs in the last 4 years (2018 Tua, 2020 Mac, & 2021 Bryce).

I wouldn't say that Iowa is a "more consistent" Nebraska. That's a bad comparison. Ferentz is the most winning-est coach in Hawkeyes history, he's kinda led Iowa to do it's own thing.
Either way, it's super impressive, I didn't expect that to be honest

Except the Iowa fans i know don't really like him.

Are you sure it's the HC or his OC (fun fact - the OC at Iowa is his son, Brian Ferentz)?
I've hear loads of criticism on the offensive side of the ball especially after the Purdue game

They hate his son. But they just feel like he's a decent coach who can't get them to the next level, even for a season. He had 3 10+win seasons in a row, from 02-04. Since then, he's had 4 in the last 17 years. He thinks he's been mostly coasting at been slightly above average.

“Bama 2020” would be fourth by itself after Bama, Ohio State, and Iowa.

Alabama has had 40 Unanimous All-Americans throughout their history.
15 pre Saban
25 Saban Era (starting in 2008)
It's closer in Consensus All-Americans which include the Unanimous AAs.
39 pre Saban
44 Saban Era
Saban has blown away the other head coaches of Alabama.
More players under Saban has also won more national awards than under any other head coaches at Alabama, including all 4 heismans won by Alabama players.

Trevor Lawrence getting a vote over Mac that year was grounds for taking their vote. That was atrocious
