Briles play calling in the first half was absolute shite
Hopefully he steps up this year to SEC level coaching

Without Burks, we absolutely lose that game.

We'll need a WR to step up early and often.

Kid was a beast in that game.

A) Not sure that’s true

B) you could make a lot of teams lose by taking their best player away

Kendal did a great job with the offense this year, and especially with KJ’s development. This feels like a post just trying to rile people up

No they don't. Missouri didn't have anyone on that team besides the RB who was the offense.

That game was like playing against Penn st.

Ok bro... You know you are pulling crap strings here, right?

There are many times that his WHAT THE FRICK coaching seems off. But there have been several that were incredible. FWIW!

Im all for flogging ArHog for his transgressions and I haven't watched the Mizzou game again but yea...Briles had me worked up several times last year with his shite. Can't argue with results but dude can do some head scratching shite sometimes

I beg to differ.

We had a total of 93 yards passing against Pedo U.

The Missouri game was totally different

I just hope that this group of WR can make up the 1104 yds. that Burks provided.

I'm sure Mizzou had a defensive game plan for us and we probably played right into it in the first half. Evidently we figured out what their plan was and adjusted accordingly at halftime. Seems kind of normal to me. Unless you can just physically overpower the opponent and say 'here's what I'm going to do, and you can't stop me', a game is pretty much a game of chess.

You said that without Burks Arkansas would lose that game. I was at the game and Missouri can run the ball with Tyler Badie but he was the only reason for the lone Missouri TD. Without him that game would go ugly fast as they didn't have a good enough passing game to be a serious threat to the Arkansas secondary. It was 34-9 late in the fourth quarter and Missouri would need to score four TDs to win the game and it was over entering the fourth quarter.

Briles really is a good play caller when he’s not trying to get too cute. The teams we can run over this year, we absolutely have to just run over. For me that is Cincinnati and the rest of the non con + Mizzou SC and State if they have a soft defense.

This is correct. It should've been more of a blowout

Anyone who thinks we were ever going to lose is a delusional negahog

Briles is one of the top 10 OC's in the college game right now.

He does a great job with QBs first and foremost.

His approach does require keeping DC's off balance meaning that occasionally he's going to call a head scratcher play. When they work...they work big....when they don't, they are a bust and sometimes a bit of a disaster, but it is all part of a gambling style designed to keep defenses a bit off balance.

I'd suspect that as we narrow the talent gap, the gambling lessens. It'll never go away, but if we are able to line up and run over people....we will for the most part.

It isn't as simple as whining when a play doesn't work. There is a lot being set up and a lot of strategy behind this offensive approach.

Correct and to my point. The play calls in the first half kept it from being a blowout.

We have lot's of ground to make up without Burks this season, assuming KJ stays healthy.
His numbers were almost as much as the other WR's combined.
