in reality, Leach was probably the smartest person in the room at the SEC media days. Dude has a law degree from Pepperdine, and a brilliant air-raid offensive mind. With an elite QB surrounded by complimentary players, the Pirate could win a NC. Dude went 11-2 with Grahm Harrell and Gardner Minshew.

Leach has been around for decades, he's always been an amazing interview.

Michael Crabtree was the best wr in the country, I wouldn’t call him complimentary, plus that was tech, from bj symons to Harrell, they put up numbers every year starting new quarterbacks, the question was, does that make them good bc they are a system qb or really good

Honestly, that’s dead on accurate. Frankly, I do t know why A&M or LSU didn’t hire him for way less money than their current coaches.
Absolutely true.

True story. When Mike was an OC under Stoops at OU, he was known for scripting much of the first quarter of offensive plays for Heupel.
Before the OU texsa game he had worked out a situation with one of the OU team equipment managers to have a document "accidently left on the field" that looked like scripted playes for the first quarter. It is funny to listen to the then texsa defensive guys that were in the booth now laughing that it was the middle of the 2nd quarter before they realized what Leach had done to them. Everything that was on the script looked like similar formations but was total different plays.
