If you had looked at Saban’s year 1 at Bama in a vacuum I guess you would have thought the same.

I think the jury is out as well. There were times last year I thought we looked like a well coached bunch. I do think he can keep our defense at a high level as Gus left it. I’m not convinced he can have us scoring points in bunches against elite defenses.

Saban signed a Top 5 recruiting class his first full year. Really lame comparison.

I remember Saban’s first full year at Bama. After it he signed the number one class.

Huge difference.

Saban ran off a bunch after year one also.
He had the $$$ flowing to buy a shitload of 4-5 star croots also.
That is the difference in the two scenarios.
We don't have the hosses coming in to replace what we lost, and what we lost was not the greatest anyway.
