One thing I'll say about baseball is there are teams in the SEC that would win any other conference and a lot of them.
Football right now is Bama and UGA.
Some names like Vandy, South Carolina, Ole miss and state, winning the SEC title in football is highly unlikely and the CFP national championship isn't even remotely possible but they can in baseball. The dynamics are so different and that is what makes it interesting. Its really caught my attention the last few seasons.

I really do enjoy SEC baseball. Our brand of basketball has gotten much better but the officiating is just so bad it makes it unwatchable until conference tournaments start.
I was talking to someone about this yesterday as well. After we won I said ‘It’s not like it’s football or basketball and I’m worried about some player or coach rolling over on a booster for a big pay day and the NCAA takes our title away. Just don’t see that in baseball.

We could have our own college baseball championship and I’m pretty sure in a 15 year span 8-10 different schools would win one.
That is what makes it so fun. Anyone can beat anyone in this league. And it will only get better with the additions of Ou & UT.

It's the only sport where kids turn down millions to play the college game. You wouldn't see any basketball players and very few football players turn down a pro contract to come to school.
It will be fricked up by 2 things in the coming years. The NIL and Urban culcha. There will be more and more teams that act like Tennessee in the future and combined with the money that will come from NIL deals it will ruin baseball as well. We may get 1 more year of it being an amateur sport, because the transfer portal is July 1st and baseball players are not really aware of their value yet. By this time next year, they will know.

Also I just want to mention, that the regionals were an absolute blast. I had as much fun watching the regionals as I do the first 2 rounds of March Madness. There were some really crazy games.

Can't wait for 2023 to start.
Congrats Rebs. Amazing run.
It's too bad that New Orleans doesn't have a professional baseball team. Maybe you should try to make it happened?
