So basically Saban tells the truth and everybody is getting pissed

Let's just get it all out there on the table and be honest.
The truth is There are a few coaches that could blow the pay to play up and Saban is one of those. Not many coaches carry as much weight as he does.
The truth is that the pay to play needs to be controlled. With out it, the game is going to be ruined. Deep down you all know it too. Yes some of you think "But it's worth it if I get to say we won it all !!"
Jimbo knows they payed a crap ton of money. Sanders knows they paid that kid a million. It was all over the news!
I'm just saying why are we now pretending like it's not a thing? Come on......

You're right. Schools like Bama and LSU have run a squeaky clean program for decades before NIL. Then A&M came in like a mafia boss and started paying recruits giant bags of cash to play football there.

Nobody here is saying tamu cheated, but surely you can see how they went beyond the spirit of NIL rules.

What did he tell the truth about? He sure as hell wasn’t telling the truth when he said Bama never paid for a player. That was a flat out lie.

Jimbo is pissed because he took it personally. Without the pay, would he have gotten the players? That's why he is cross. In the back of his mind he knows he would not obtained that class and he seems to be embarrassed about it.

Just not to this amount. NIL happened and TAMU broke the bank to obtain the possibility of glory!
With NIL came the reality of the pandora box that was opened. Now somebody is going to have to shut it some how.

Bama has been in trouble in the 90’s and early 2000’s for paying players to play. Then bama goes from 7-5 in Saban 1st year to powerhouse over night. I’m sure you think that was clean right? Only difference now and back then it’s actually legal now and no one has to worry about getting caught anymore and Saban can’t take it. Saban don’t like it if someone has a chance to even the playing field. Remember Dre Kirkpatrick from Gadsden Al didn’t come from a family with money, but as soon as he committed to bama he is seen driving a brand new Dodge Charger the very next week. He is just 1 example. There are many others. So don’t be naive to think Bama don’t cheat when that hasn’t been the case. Saban is the best at keeping his hands clean and not getting caught.
