#12 Auburn (28-6)
#87 Northwestern (15-16)
#96 Bradley (17-14)
#124 Liberty (22-11)
#159 Winthrop (23-9)
#237 Purdue Fort Wayne (21-12)
#316 Eastern Michigan (10-21)
#341 Southern Miss (7-26)

That field is horrid. Did they sign up for it and then the tournament committee just failed miserably?

does a team know who is in a tourney before entering?

I'm sure they don't, but I'd guess the tournament gives the main participants an idea of the teams they are targeting and I'd imagine they targeted better teams than this and just didn't get them. Auburn plays in good tournaments generally (Charleston, Bahamas, Maui) so I doubt they went out and searched for one with Eastern Michigan and IUPUI.

Probably not a huge deal but I'd guess Pearl is kind of like "WTF guys" to that tournament committee right now.

That’s a “cheeky late season NET boosting” field that tPear would be proud of

Exposure, fun for the kids, neutral site game experience, they should make highlights winning big….

Vols are playing in one too“ Butler, Brigham Young, Dayton, Kansas, NC State, USC, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. The annual Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis”

#91 Northwestern
#102 Bradley
#118 Liberty
#147 Winthrop

Not quite good enough to get Q2s other than Northwestern.

That field is a tad different

But yea, like I said, Auburn generally plays in good tournaments so it isn't a slight towards them (they played in the Atlantis tournament last year).

The sweat hog probably just figured it'd be nice to be on the beach in Cancun in November.

Not many good teams in that field, but they do get to go to Cancun. I think they are going to Israel too. Should be good trips for the kids.

We’ve played in that one before several years ago when it had teams like Texas Tech and Purdue (real Purde) in it. Vastly different from next year

That’s one Auburn will need to win because any lost is likely Q2 at best.

Auburn was the 7th team added. So maybe they were trying to get into a different tournament and it just didn't happen. I don't know.
