The entire nation was watching that game tonight and Muss delivered. Dude's phone has to be blowing up.

He's a lock and the game had nothing to do with it.

So damn proud of the kids tonight. I don't have many more of these games left.

Doesn't hurt Chuck calling it a "masterpiece."

Apparently TCU is emerging as a dark horse for Black, kind of out of nowhere now. Folks in the know thinking Gonzaga is out and it’s down to Arkansas or TCU now,

I’m going on record saying I don’t want black. If he signs, great I really hope he works out but this kid is just screaming diva. And I’m not gonna feel good about having him on the team until I see him gel in game. He doesn’t seem to have his head on straight and screams Zach Evans to me. For anyone who has followed that saga knows it’s not the headache we want. I’d rather get some top notch portal guys and try to bring back as many guys from this team as we can

I don't think Muss has a problem signing him and sitting him if he's not a team player. He may be legit having a hard time deciding and has been waiting to seem if our success was a flash in the pan or the real deal.

With the class coming in plus what we have coming back, stay Toney please, we are his best chance at a one and done with a NC.

We also don't know what those conversations are. For all we know he's locked up or has some very valid reasons checking out other things besides whether we win in the tournament.

Making the college choice is difficult enough. It's one of the first of life's major decision points.
That's typically without the entire nation pulling on you to go to their school or having a full time job in the career you want anyways already lined up to decide between....

I would imagine what makes it difficult is the incoming talent we have and talent we have staying.

If Notae and/or Toney stays, we will have Notae, toney and Devo returning at guard. In addition we have KK Robinson and Jaxson Robinson at guard.

But also we are bringing in Smith and Ford at guard.

Black is projected as a 1 and done, but I imagine he wants to go to the best possible program where he has a chance to play 30-40 mins a night too. Think all of that matters to him

Notae is gone and I’ve seen nothing that leads me to believe KK or Jaxson will step in above Smith or Black.

They haven’t been able to crack the line up in a year where we were only play 6 guys for majority minutes.

I agree with all of that. I'm just saying it has to factor in a recruits decision that only expects to stay a year in college

If he's a one and done then he'll beat everyone else out for those minutes. If he is scared he can't, we don't want him. I've never understood those who long for players that are scared of competition. Not saying that Black is scared and he would be the central focus at TCU, and maybe Gonzaga if Chet leaves.

But he'll have every opportunity to show out here and win a NC in the process. Plus, look at Steve Kerr raving about how well prepared Moody was versus other rookies he's had due to his year under Muss. Right now, I don't think there is anyone in college that will prepare you better for the NBA than Muss.

So, if we land Black, what does the starting 5 next year look like?

Williams - PF
Walsh - SF
NSJ - SG
Black - PG
Toney??
Portal big man??

Muss has already stated he's going to continue to light up the portal, so he's either going after a PG (if no Black) and likely a big man, and possibly more.

I assume KK, Jaxson, and Vanover are all transferring out.

We could also lose Notae, Johnson, Wade, and Umude.

That's 7 spots right there, with 5 freshman coming in., and 6 if Black signs.

I don't know where Toney fits in all this. He can come back. He's an elite defender. He has spurts of offensive prowess, but he can also leave if he wants.

Curtis Wilkerson update from 10 mins ago:

Here’s the news: Ask 10 people, get 11 answers. Lol. It really has been absurd.
In the last hour, I’ve been told by reputable, legit sources he’s going to Arkansas, Gonzaga and TCU. Some people I trust around here have said Arkansas. Some of the very best in the country have said Gonzaga.
Nothing would surprise me at this point, to be honest. Hope he’s a Hog.

Hog fans, as compared to other schools, are overwhelming in their words of encouragement to him on the twitters.

Man, when we are right in sports, we are one of the most rabid and supportive fan bases around.

So thankful for Yurachek and his philosophy on hiring coaches that fit the program vs. winning the press conference.
