Anyone else feel like we’re playing with house money at this point?

For me, sweet 16 is a success for this year’s team. We look great at times (particularly at home) but we’ve had serious flaws all year. Gotta love how scrappy this team is, but I think that’s how it will be remembered, not necessarily as a great team.

Gonzaga is the best team in the tournament. I’d love to see us knock them out but I’m tempering my expectations here and hoping to be pleasantly surprise.

Honestly I kind of hope the team sees it this way too. Maybe we come out loose and knock down some shots

Yep. It’s been a crazy season, I thought we sucked for a good while there and look at us now all up in the Sweet Sixteen. Regardless of what happens next week the biggest of to both Muss and the team.

Definitely an apt descriptor of where this team is, especially after our slump entering conference play and considering that we are not a good shooting team and don’t have much depth.

Damn impressive of Miss and and the staff to make what would otherwise be a bridge year to the incoming class look like a resounding success.

We've been playing with house money since we beat Vermont. It's glorious. Every fanbase not named Auburn is having meltdowns on the rant

I’d have to disagree. Arizona is the strongest team IMO.

Zags play the same 5 guys almost the whole game. Watson and Hickman came in for about 10 min each last night, a third bench guy played for 3 min. They had 2 bench points last night.

They look for transition baskets much like NMSU. We shut down their transition game last night. I’m sure we will handle The Zags.

If Timmie has a crap game we win going away. Toney will shut down Nembhard. It’s not like Nembhard is Jesus and better than any of the other top guards we’ve faced this year.

I also suspect you’ll see a much better offensive performance than last night. Muss admitted he didn’t pay much attention to prepping for offense and focused on Defense last night.

We could very well crap the bed but I suspect this will be a dang good game.

Muss given 3+ days to prepare is usually a winning recipe. Muss given just a day or less to prepare us usually a crap shoot.

Also, this will be the first time Muss’s mom has seen him coach the Hogs in person.

Having played and beaten Auburn with their 2 very good big men gives me a little better feeling about this game. Gonzaga is good no doubt but I think Auburn is a tougher more physical team.

I hope we pack our offense for the trip this time. It’s amazing how we can win shooting like we have lately, I couldn’t believe how many layups we missed.

Go Hogs!

ok, look... you need to do your part bud.

I know that the prices of Goats have sky rocketed since inflation and chit. But for a Sweet 16 game, it must be done!

“Elite defenses win championships and Arkansas just shot 27% and won a trip to the Sweet 16. That is what makes them so dangerous.”

Paraphrased from CBS post game last night.

My brother has some goats.

I think we would be better off sacrificing that jrv peckerhead though. Kill 2 birds with one stone ya know.

I do. This team has exceeded my realistic expectations (but not my hopes).

Well, he’s an arse not a goat, but I’m good sacrificing him though.
