As a Bama fan, I have not watched a single second. If they win, good for them, but softball is a sport that was added to appease Title 9. However, I would watch it before I would watch baseball.
Aptly put by a person who knows nothing about the sport.
Fast-pitch softball is a helluva sport played by men and women. I at the thought of these folks trying to hit a pitch, or them trying to field a hard hit ground ball coming at them.
You may not like the sport, but if you don't respect the talent it takes to play it well, then....

Alabama softball lost 1.68 million dollars.

Try looking outside of a Covid year. During the 18-19 school year UA made bank. That year AU, Troy, UAB, UA, and Samford made money off of softball. I would bet OU softball definitely isn't losing money.

No they are not, in fact between revenues and donations they are building their new field, 44,000 sq ft with indoor practice facilities.

UA has the "Brick Yard" but its more of a lawn seating area behind the fence. Love's, the truck stops, donated $12 million to OU for their new stadium. Once completed it will seat 3000 with room to expand. UA seats over 3,900. I imagine OU will be expanding pretty quickly.

its about as important as womens softball, minus the hot ladies.

The last softball World Series got better TV ratings than men's baseball and a lot of people on here seem to think college baseball is really important so.
