LSU has a talented basketball team this year.

Seriously, from a talent standpoint alone, LSU looked really good on the court last night. I'm not sure how we beat them in Baton Rouge, or how they've managed to have such a mediocre year.
Maybe they were playing better last night than they did most of the season. But they looked way better than their record shows. I understand the love they get from pollsters and bracket gurus.

Arkansas has always been LSU’s Super Bowl. Every year they circle our game on the calendar.

we made too many stupid mistakes the first game. last night was a combo of bad possesions/poor shot selction, turnovers at bad times, poor calls by refs

Too many 3 attempts and no offensive sets. It's all playground basketball.

we didnt have Pinson, our facilitator, for 7-8 games.

I was impressed by how hard LSU played and how they were there for every rebound and loose ball. The aggressive defense was also fun to watch (and would have been more fun to watch if they weren't playing us). It felt like they wanted the game more, but couldn't overcome the poor shooting.

We have a lot of talent. But, we have too many guys that basically have the same skill set, strengths and weaknesses. There's very little balance.

I get that people on this board are mainly here to troll. But you can’t actually have looked at that game last night (assuming you have any semblance of intelligence) and not realize Wade significantly outcoached Musselman last night. His defensive change to blitz Notae and get the ball out of his hands totally confounded Arkansas and they never really adjusted. It took some big time shots from other Arkansas players and a 25-15 foul discrepancy to pull out the game.

tPear is a shitty in game coach. LSU has better talent and deserves better.

This is outcoaching?

Your best player got three charges that weren’t even close. He should have either fouled out much earlier or had to miss significant time prior to that (much like Eason and Pinson did).

I thought LSU played good and I don't know how we beat them. Taking Notae out of the game worked pretty well compared to how other teams approached us this year.
As for the refs, Jaylin Williams fouled out with as many touch/bs fouls as he got charges called in his favor.
There were several sequences where there were multiple fouls and nothing was called. And there were instances of touch fouls which made no sense. That's how SEC basketball goes.

He completely affected your leading scorer, basically taking him out of the game, and Arkansas and Musselman had no answer for it. How else would you describe it?

Williams was the reason Arkansas was in the game. He made tons of plays for his team. Much like Eason made plays for LSU. Unfortunately because of the terrible charge calls (which even the announcers acknowledged were ridiculous) it allowed Arkansas’ best player to stay in the game and made LSU take out their best player for extended minutes and their point guard. It was pretty much the difference in the game. I get you don’t like that, but I also am pretty sure you know it’s true.

At some point, saying a team treats every game as a super bowl becomes a compliment to that team and not an excuse for losing to them.
