I've listened to numerous NBA podcasts where they all talk about how they think Jabari is their #1 and is definitely in contention depending who gets the pick

I mean I never said he wasn’t in contention lol. But in general he looked like the consensus number one pick a month ago based on mock drafts I saw, now I am seeing him at 2 and 3 more often but still seeing him at 1 as well. Like I said, the draft is weak at the top and none of the big 3 would be the number one pick in a normal year so I think it’s gonna be pretty unpredictable in terms of who goes first. I bet there will not really be a consensus amongst GMs and it will likely be based around how the bottom 3 (magic, pistons, rockets) feel like the pick matches up with their current planned core.

A couple of sites do NBA draft mock consensus pulling from other sites and Jabari is 1 on those by a decent margin. I follow this pretty closely and it seems like Holmgren and Jabari are viewed as a tier of their own and Paolo has fallen back to the next group with Jaden Ivey and AJ Griffin

The draft is not weaker at the top. Compared to what? Last year? Year before? In fact, having this many 6’10” and above Athletes makes this years draft much stronger. Last years top picks were Cade Cunningham, Jalen Green, Evan Mobley, Scotty Barnes. Lol. This years draft is weaker at the top. Calling BS on that opinion. This years draft is super strong making Jabari the #1 will be incredible for our program! And for Jabari!

There seems to be a real split developing in NBA circles on what is better, switchable perimeter wings or 7FT unicorns.

Just last year, there was a ton of discussion on Evan Mobley #1. Rumor was that OKC offered a king's ransom to try and move into the #3 to get him and CLE said no

Oh, I felt kind of the opposite. Back in early January I was listening to a pod on Jabari specifically and it was whether he could break into the Chet/Paolo #1 pick convo
