This is the genius running our program.
We didn’t play defense. We turned the ball over (in no small part because we have no PG). We didn’t shoot well. We had no way of getting Kobe into space (our only chance at staying competitive).

Y'all know I enjoy some good lighthearted trolling and all that in our games. But damn. Whenever I see y'all play or read an interview from that goober it gives me traumatic flashbacks to when Chad Morris burned our football program to the ground and pissed on the ashes. Even the initials are the same.
He has to be fired at the end of the season. I know he gets a much larger buyout or something if you fire him early and I can understand wanting to save the cash. But the very second that buyout drops your AD needs to hand him his walking papers.

We’ll either do it March and negotiate a buyout or we will burn the program to the ground with a final year of Martin. His buyout doesn’t drop until May.

I'm thinking of entering the Fan Transfer Portal. Since I'd be coming from Mizzou, I may have to go the JUCO route.

He needs to go coach high school or AAU or whatever. He's set financially and now he can go mentor young kids in a meaningful way that makes him happy.

It’s not even that they didn’t play well…I mean they didn’t, but that’s not the point.
The larger issue is that the roster sucks. He’s recruited a bunch of slow arse guards that can’t shoot or get to the rim. They also get abused defensively by teams with athletic guards (everyone else). Then he tops that off with a bunch of 6’7” “bigs”
Outside of Brazille and Gordon, who is an above avg athlete on this team?
Cuonzo wants to get games into the 50s and turn them into slugfests where his guys can “out tough” their opponents. Outside of that being an incredibly boring style of basketball it just doesn’t fricking work.
Good god I can not wait until this clown is gone, but I’m fairly convinced at this point that they will go ahead and put the final nail in the basketball programs coffin and bring him back for one more year.

It was announced at 7,000. It’s hard to tell how many were there because the upper bowl is way better attended than the lower bowl. I was at the OM game and the upper section looked pretty full. Student and the donor sections looked maybe 1/3 full. Maybe 1/5 for the fat cat sections.
Long story short, it wasn’t close to 7,000.

The Mizzodcast guys have a good call I think "he knows the things a coach is supposed to do, but has no real idea why". Thus the random substitutions and time outs, among other things.

I bailed from Rock M after reading their sport/movie crap and I'm surprised that they have a 13 year old (Karen Steger's) "Hey y'all this" and "y'all that" and "I hate blah blah." Childish reporting.
