For those of you who have never seen this game, you owe it to yourself to set aside about 10 minutes of your day to watch this. I was just a young tot at the time, but vividly remember my young tot self about hitting the ceiling fan blade at the end of regulation.

I've gone down a rabbit hole this morning. I promise not to post any Korean girl's softcore p0rn like Fayettenam

Here's another favorite of mine. I bet most people won't be able to figure out the play by play feller going wild after the shot.

You need to find the tourney game where Todd Day and Lee Mayberry went off on UNC. 3s were raining down that game.

Texas coach Abe Lemons called the Hogs on camera after that game, and got fired for it. Wasn't the official reason, but it was the reason.

So who was it?

I was at University Mall in LR when Reed hit that shot. All the stores had their TV sets tuned to the game and they all had crowds around them. When Reed hit that shot, I was in the courtyard and the eruption was deafening.

That's Rick Schaeffer that was going crazy. I'm about sure that was Paul Eels with Rick. Rick was the one really going crazy when Reed hit the shot.

Man, those times were better. I also remember sitting on the deer stand with my Daddy in Fountain Hill (most won't know where that's at) and listening to games with the volume down really low.

I sound like the old codger sitting around reminiscing about the good ole days.

The way both teams play in that game is so far ahead of its time.

The way the refs let them play in that game is so far ahead of what we are stuck with now. I miss games with a flow to them.

My Daddy was raised there. Graduated from Fountain Hill. Pretty sure he would know you (he passed away a few years back) or some of you kin folk. Majority of my family is from Hamburg and Fountain Hill.

I was 5 weeks in to basic training and my drill sgt. called me in his office and told me how the Hogs/Horns game went down the next morning. It was surreal because I didn't know the game was going on because I was so cut off from the real world and I didn't realize that you could have a normal conversation with a drill sgt.
Cool how some guy from Alabama that worked at Ft. Knox was so excited about what happened in that game.
