His running style reminds me of Barry Sanders, lateral, quick, elusive. Great body control and vision. While they say he is not a burner, didnt see anyone run him down.

2800 yards as a senior playing ball in Texas.

I like how similar both he and Branson Robinson are in both size (5-10/5-11, 220lbs) and running styles. We will be able to rotate these two wrecking balls without missing a beat.

I havent watched film, but i heard ugasports talk up his TD numbers in texas.

There isnt a more important metric than scoring TDs when the defense knows you are getting the ball.

He reminds me of Nick Chubb running.

Kirby is going to get that dude paid by the NFL.

Honestly, the film is good IMHO. Particularly like his approach at the line, following blockers, good instincts for when cutback is there... Admittedly not the best competition, but vision/instincts carry over as long as you can account for speed differential in the new environment. Seems like a value pickup for sure.

I think Andrew Paul is going to be a star. Tough luck, Dabo.

I love the rb tandem we signed. Reminds me of Gurley-Marshall and Chubb-Michel.

Isn’t playing in a Christian school level pretty much less than playing in 1-A level?

Dude is 5’11 220 and even the DL’s he’s facing in his film look smaller than him. The DB’s look like they’re a foot shorter and 70#’s lighter.

I think we need to temper expectations. This is feeling like BVG again where a bunch of this forum suggested he might be our starter as a freshmen.

His vision and cuts look really great, but if he were playing 6-A in GA a bunch more of his runs he’d be tackled early and run down from behind on anything broken loose.

I think running backs in lower levels generally do the best with the leap to the SEC (versus QB or WR or CB).

Ignore the sprinting away from everyone and focus on the cuts, the burst, and the vision.

The question most often is, "has he ever had to pickup a blitz? Does he know how to pass protect?". That is typically the biggest hurdle for early playing time. Otherwise, his presence on the field would be against loaded boxes, hard slants, and run blitzes.

Texas prep school football is quite good. Lots of schollies and recuiting going on.
