State fans- what is your opinion of him as a player?

Obviously they think he’s trash now

he was a C+ player. not a big difference maker, but hurts in the fact that he was a more experienced player. he got in a pretty bad auto accident and had to be airlifted right before our bowl game.
i dont think it a big loss athletically. he is most famous for being the tulsa towel-whip guy and kicking some cat in the head, not his on-field stuff.
towel whip kick
he was fairly reliable though. he seemed to lose a lot of time to underclassmen. that might have been due to some undisclosed injury or off-field issue. i honestly thought we would see him at Jackson st with Deion.

He will be better off at Ole Miss, since he'll get more touches. That's if he can keep himself under control off the field. I hope he does well, JPS products are all but doomed out of the gate.

He has all the potential, but never really could get it together.
Most thought even before the accident if he would start in 2022. Would have been a veteran on the team
He had around 700 yards total for his career.
And all those snide remarks need to go check out Rebel twitter trolls last bowl season and read the comments about Malik Heath. I’m sure it was deleted today.

What was the deal with the car accident? Never heard what caused it. What kind of injury/surgery did he have?
No hate here just curious as I remember it happening but never heard any fall out

I really don’t know if it was specific details release about the accident. All most heard it was a lower leg injury.
He was air lifted to Memphis hospital and had immediate surgery.
I’m sure he is still in rehab.
I believe he can sign officially in June.
He should help with depth for Ole Miss.

Ole Miss fans called him a Thug, trash when Heath kicked the Tulsa player. Now, he is family. Funny how that works.

Disappointing is the word that comes to mind.
He has loads of potential with less than stellar results. If he plays up to his potential, he could have a great season for you. He is a good target in the red zone.

Still trash but now he’s got an opportunity to turn his life around.
Kidding. Kind of.

Something seems off. If he needed to be airlifted for emergency surgery to his leg then how does anyone know when or if he will ever play meaningful football again?
